50 years of progress
For nearly 50 years, GE has worked closely with regulatory agencies and local communities to improve environmental conditions on the Upper Hudson River and in the area of its former plant sites at Hudson Falls and Fort Edward, NY. GE has conducted a comprehensive cleanup at the plant sites under the supervision of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. It has completed a historic dredging project of 40 miles of the Upper Hudson River under the direction of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
